Looks like a Badger. Probably can be treated as such as well. One thing you can be usre of, though:

It's guaranteed for life. And I mean LIFE. One of the mechanics I used to deal with had a ratchet that his dad bought in the 50s. It broke -- and they fixed it for free.

The big "if" here is are you talking the large-quantity mix-it-yourself variety, premixed "touch-up" quantity bottles, or spray bombs? Each will have a different amount and type of solvent Generally speaking, if you are using spray cans (the best option), the idea is to lay down ...

I have a Badger 350, an Aztek single-action, and a new Iwata Revolution BCR. I have to say that having used the Rev a few times now the Iwata is the way to go. Better balance, easier cleanup (the plug on the top of the body is a miracle!) and just generally better "feeling". Go with the Iw...

Castrol Super-Clean seems to be the favoured stuff of the automodeling crowd. You can also use Easy-Off if either a) the chrome is too thick; and/or b) you are really fast.

Help! How do I "Salt Weather"?

Seen the end results (wow...), and heard a lot of talk about it lately. But the $64,000 question?

How the heck do you do it? Are there any decent online tutorials that I can get to?

Answer: depends. Actually, going to the local auto parts store and grabbing a spray bomb of touch-up paint isn't such a bad idea -- just make sure that whatever you are painting is primed really well 'cause auto-paint is a lacquer and it'll destroy styrene in no time flat. The pint, quart and gallon...

Got a big tube of Evercoat red glazing putty. Was in my supply drawer until Blappy nearly beat me about the head and shoulders for using it for buldups. He gave me a little Aves. "First taste is free". Dragged Kenny (Z0mBe) down to the Aves booth at WF by saying we'd hit the bar after. Now...

Funny that. "fichtenfoo" is an occasional poster here, and an idol of mine (along with Kylwell and Das Phule) when it comes to Mobile Suits.

I have found the best way is to assemble the kit first, and where possible break it up into sub-assemblies; i.e. feet, lower legs, upper legs, torso and so forth and paint like that. Depending on the mecha and manufacturer of the kit, this should yield the best results. Also note where the mechanica...

I use a really fine technical pen -- a .01 Staedtler Marsmagno.

If they are available at your local hobby shop, Gundam Markers are made for exactly that sort of thing as well.

The only reason I wasn't there this year was due to a move. I had originally thought I was moving on the first of June, but my new flat came open a month early. Blappy invited me to go with the SW Ontario crew this year, but I didn't think I would have the fundage. Turns out I did after all, but it ...
