with out buying an exensive kit, i was hoping theres a way to make one flash quick every two seconds for a defiant class star ship.

How do u use the salt? Mix it with water and just put it where u want it? And paint over it when it's dry? What about the hair spray?

Any idea how to get that chipped look, with a little streaking

It dosent look very flakey more like a silver paint

Is it realy worth it to use a metalizer? Or will I get the same effect with testers steel? I'm going to use it to weather paint chips, not sure exactly how I will acheave this.

That's what I use I found it flows very well between the fibers when there packed close, I'm just finding a hard time trying to glue and place short FO with out placing the glue first then stringing the fiber. And not coating the inside length with the white glue, ie; a romulan warbird head

just putting it out there, its a pain in the ass to put them in a glue them with out them falling out

The Ssm store is sold out, and was hopin thee was something cheeper then 60 bucks

I have a few star ships to light. And am looking for some cheep lighting kits, or even a few DIY with instructions, any ideas? Also I don't have very much experence with circuit boards

I read somewhere about putting down a metalic base coat, putting some kind of vasalene in spots ( where you want the ships to be) and after you spray your paint down you wipe it off the spots after it dried

it wont harden as fast with out the sunlight?

Well I was playin on useing it as a base, and paint over it and somehow get the paint to chip in some spots as if it were showing bare metal

and what is the difference from that and just useing an aluminum paint?

You could try putting the light a bit further back from the panel, with some short FO pointing at the light

Is it safe for a resistor to be touching FO? Or will it damnage it, also what's the best way to shrink, shrink wrap?

By what about the side parts for deck one? Do they do on the inside as well?

If u look at the picture I was referig to parts 39 to 41, do the replace the plastic parts? And if you used the ones for the windows on the side of deck one, wouldn't there be a bumped out panels around the windows?

Even some progress Picts would be helpfull as I'm 100% sure how to work with them

first, you might not notice the yellow on camera, it might looks cleaner once its on film. secondly, theres two ways to do it, cut into the gun. make a trench on the angle you want, or plastic rod.
