What kind of printer? If it's inkjet I'd be very careful as to what you put on it or else the ink will run. I'd stick with lacquer and go easy on it. If it's laser then Future would be fine.

Before even getting to the primer I'd be sure to clean the surface with at least rubbing alcohol. I also like Rust-Oleum's surface prep as it's much less harsh than standard wax and grease removers. You might see if you can scuff the metal lightly as well, such as with a fine steel wool or scouring ...

Yeah, no problem with it. The only thing is that craft paint coverage is not that great as it is, and you're going to be taking that away even more. That's why I personally use it more for blending, especially on small figures, for which it works great. You can get kind of in between straight paint ...

Funny, I get MORE modeling done in the winter since there's less I'm able to do outside and if I don't keep my hands busy I will go completely nuts. Plus I'm usually exhausted in the summer due to all the bike riding, walks, and playground time, not to mention working on the cars and other maintenan...

Thanks guys, I appreciate the kind words. :8) And...at long last it's finally done! Mainly it took me awhile to come up with a paint scheme. Even though I've never had an Imperial Fists army, I like the yellow and red together, and light colors would show off the details well, so that's where I head...

Aw, the first thing I get to finish in years and I get rivet counted right outta the gate... I'm not actually sure they're supposed to be screws, but I saw screws on a couple fan interpretations and liked it. I think I matched the size pretty well personally, but everything in WH40k is chunky ...

Space Marine Bolter - Pocket Edition™
Thought I'd drop this here since it's not quite a gaming miniature, but is completely built from scratch... Plus threads in this section stay around for a long time. :D First the pics, just some cell phone teaser shots for now. I'll drag out the real camera when the paint is on it: Mostly done. Prim...

I never had any luck with those enamels, they always stayed tacky. Same here, although I never airbrushed them. With a regular brush it seemed like it would be tacky as soon as you touched it to the model, so brush strokes and uneven coverage galore. So how much thinning did they end up needing? I'...
