So . . . . Prince of Styrene needs to send the new kit to Gundamhead, not to me.

PM sent with my snail-mail addy!

I'm glad I cleared some space off on my workbench, and I'm looking forward to this.

Were we going to have another go-around on this, to give everyone a second shot at it, before I send it to the CoMMiES for display at WonderFest?

I, too, am becoming concerned. The PM that I sent time/date stamped "Sat Feb 28, 2015 12:22 pm" is still sitting in my Outbox.

Anybody have a way to get in touch with him?

Works for me. Sucks the original model (and next builder in the rotation) have gone missing. Ignatz's last post that I can see here on this thread was February 4. I checked my Outbox , and the PM I sent on February 28th with my mailing address is still unread. I hope he's okay. Do you think we can p...

He's in Australia, right?

That's what I get for missing the monthly New Member Interrogation . . . I mean New Member Indoctrination meetings. I can't keep track of the member list! :P

Would that make Ken "Cydonia" Darden part of the Black Sea Division. I think he's the southern-most CoMMiES Member, being in Louisiana.

So, this is us, unless anyone else wants to join us prior to New Year's day. :) Proposed rotation, unless anyone wants it changed: 1. Scotaidh in RI starts the model, and sends it to Prince of Styrene in MA 2. Prince of Styrene in MA sends it to Gundamhead in ME 3. Gundamhead in ME sends it to Lone...

Yup. I've been adding some bits to the back end of the ship. Been a bit slow as shoveling snow and chipping at ice dams seems to be most of what I've been doing since last week! I'll post some pix and get it off next week. You can PM me your address in the mean time. Sorry I missed this! I was sick...

Just wondering when the box is gonna be heading my way, so I can spend some time in advance going through parts drawers/boxes.

The last time I used Milliput was probably about 10 years ago. Two new-in-the-box (allegedly) batches in a row were as you describe. Even though I mixed the parts in equal measure, the putty never cured. Five days after application, I was able to scrape the putty off with a fingernail. It had the c...

I usually only soak parts for an hour, maybe two at the most. Then I lay them out on paper towel and let then air-dry overnight before I start working with them.

CA and Zipkicker. You need them both to save your sanity. Bingo. My wife gets me several of the Super Glue Gel brand three-packs at Christmas as stocking stuffers. Same stuff as from the big-box stores, but a buck a pack, in a sealed foil baggie. Never had a problem with it. Then again, I never hav...

Hmmmmm. That's giving me ideas. Looks like I need to go through the parts boxes/drawers before this reaches my house. I have some bits and pieces in mind that would work in some areas. What scale are we thinking of for this? That would give me a better idea of things to add. Also, any specific "...

Throw in whatever you want, but remember . . . the rest of us will be adding, too. I've got an F-15C that I've been using for parts for a couple years that's probably gonna become fodder for whomever is after me.

I'm up to my butt in Lake Effect here as it is! There was a 150-car/truck pileup on 1-94 about an hour west of my house the other day thanks to white-out conditions.

I'll start looking for it to arrive for my "modifications" around mid-February, then. That gives me more time to clear a couple small projects off the workbench and to pull my pieces-parts together.

I think that works. I can see if one of the CoMMiES can take it to WF '15. I have a question, though. If each participant is supposed to have the model for a month, that means we'll still be tied up with work in August, three months AFTER WonderFest is over. Do we want to axe the "two rotation&...

After the holidays would probably be better. The international mailing system is gonna be clogged with all of the holiday packages and cards, making a delay in getting the project to someone even more likely.
