Re: workbench clamp

what use have I for one of these ? I just want to be able to justify getting one so I know I'll be able to actually use it and so it's not ornamental. I have one that ran me about $30.00 at my local hobbyshop. It was sold as a hobby vise; it's metal but the jaws have rubber boots covering them so y...

I'm off to try wet sanding for the first time, it should be fun. The model is the 1:72 Cylon Raider. And what a little beauty it is too. Thanks guys. I find that a little spit works great for wet sanding. Saliva is thicker than water and won't run off or dry out as fast. A little spit and polish sh...

Hole Templates ???

Does anyone know of a manufaturer or distributor of metal hole templates ? I have plastic ones but the xacto knife tends to cut into them when I'm scribing a hole in plastic.

I've found that even if I screw up badly, I can just apply some white putty to the lines I don't want (perhaps add a little denatured alcohol on a q-tip to really smooth it out, sand very carefully to leave the line I want, and it comes out looking fine. I also have used an exacto saw type blade (sa...

Squadron Tools makes an applicator tool specifiaclly for applying a small drop of CA glue precisely to a target. The pointed tip is only about 1/16" across with a small channel down the middle. Dip it in a drop of CA and lightly touch it to the piece and wicking action will draw the glue off th...
