Re: Beginner Airbrush Setup?
Badger 250 base model. Easy to learn and use. I have more expensive units I use much less than the 250. Add to that you can find 250 clones for about $5 at tool stores......good to learn on. The 250 is super easy to keep clean...a big plus.

Re: Will vinyl and styrene glue together??
Gorilla is a CA 'instant' type glue. The blue cap version is just thick enough to stay where you put it and fill small voids. About $3 USD can you order it???

2X nhere on Gorilla.....I've used it to attach many dis-similar materials. Worked so far. (CA type with the blue cap)Richard Baker wrote: ↑Mon Jul 24, 2017 11:34 am Gorilla Glue may work but be wary- it is water activated and expands a bit when cured

No blame to you.....the host SHOULD handle that stuff.....if they want to keep their customers. I always tell this story about our 'state of the art Direst Access Storage Device (DASD) farm the bank opened in 1984. It was a dedicated building with power supply, environmental and fire systems that we...

Re: Custom print decals?
A PNG file will not give great results from any printer. Also if you need white print then you must print on white decal paper as even a laser will not print white. Kinda involved or pay someone with a working ALPS printer to create art and print it right.

Re: Custom print decals?
Is a white underlay needed??? If not take your art and paper to a store that has a laser printer and have them print. What file format are you using??? A JPG will not look good no matter what method of printer.

The ISP crashed. Not much we can do about it but move the site to somewhere a little more reliable. And the wheels are turning on that as well. Are you saying the site host had issues and crashed??? Old decals can go bad.....but I've used 40 year old decals with good results. It mainly depends on how they have been stored. Mine are stored at room temp in a dark area.....model room closet floor. I have been making decals since I hand painted a logo on paper packing tape back in the 1960's. I now...

For many years there was a place called Cadillac Plastics in Charlotte. They had a bin in the front office full of cut offs sold by the pound. I lived off that for years. I dropped by one day and it was closed with a sign to check the website. Plasturuct direct is GREAT to deal with. Website is easy...

I almost forgot to mention....and I think this is something a lot of people miss, while you can safely cut styrene via laser, the results you get aren't exemplary. The edges tend to shrink, melt and char making it difficult to get good clean cuts. Intricate cutting and engraving can be nearly impos...

My 12x18 table 25 watt machine was $10,000. Now they have, like all tech, come down greatly. But you do get what you pay for. To cut .080 plastic and get a good cut that requires little clean up requires 2-3 passes. Cheaper machines may not be able to replicate the cut lines perfectly. (my machine s...
