You also forgot Parafilm-M.

I use Tamiya for most everything. Blue for bulk coverage and Parafilm-M for detailed masking.

But, you can eyedrop the Testors pallet and save it as a swatch to build your own set of custom colors.

That way, when he's eye-dropping a color from another picture he can switch from the color picker to a custom color and get somethign close to it in Testors.

Ah, what you want to do is create a set of custom colors much like the Pantone lookup system.

Here's the instructions.

Krylon plastic primer, Krylon metal primer, and I canna remember the third.

I've had problems with using non-model specific spray bombs. And the most common problem I've had is lack of drying. Don't know what it is, never went into depth to figure it out but I've tried several (3) primers and had non-satisfactory results every other time. Use it one day it's fine, the next ...

The tank modelers use everything from tissue paper to fine silk & cotton. The tough part about that kinda thing is making tubes that don't disinegrate.

Hmmm...give me a moment and I'll see what Mr. Brain comes up with.

Question, do you want the joints to remain flexible?

Other than maybe Colpar, but they might need ot order it.

How to tell when paint goes bad.... Well it can go bad a couple of ways. It can seperate, giving you pigemtn on the bottom & clearish glop on top and no amount of stirring will mix the two (this I think is the most common). It can quite literally curdle, giving you lumps of pigment that have sol...

All I can contribute is do not use CA. Even small amounts can cause sudden fogging. I used to use Emerls to glue my conopys on til I tired the Testors canopy glue. They've added something to help it bond better with the plastic. And I have managed to use my old favorite, Tennex 7R, to glue clear pie...

I thin my tamiya's at least 50-50. Gloss a bit more so. Truthfully what I normally do is crack open a new bottle, fill the remainder of space with thinner (Tamiya brand) and shake. i've got some Tamiya caps modified with spouts for my airbrush so all I have to do is take off hte cap, put on the new ...
