Thank Terry. He showed this once at Wonderfest I think it was. But yeah, the gray Aves I can get to almost perfectly match cockpit or canopy frame colors if I use some black and/or blue ink.

Get thee to Hobby Lobby and get some Winsor and Newton inks. They are pigmentless and as such, will mix perfectly with the putty. If you get some of the Aves paste or are willing to then it sufficiently with safety solvent, you can even inject it like caulk using a syringe and hypodermic needle. TER...

I would think not just due to the variables involved. For example, how are you going to get the color? Scanner or camera or FS numbers? You would have to either make it relative whereby it says "well to get what you showed me, do 'x' and 'y'" which would defeat the purpose. Or, you'd have ...

What about turpentine and/or mineral spirits? Failing that I think you're down to freezing it and scraping it off or sanding it off with a touch up afterwards.

I hope this helps.

Re: Resin Kits -- Recommend a Good Primer?

Answer The First: Just about ANY primer will work fine. It's more about preparing the resin surface for paint. Wash the resin parts in warm water and a mild soap (dish), as this will remove the silicone oils, along with any mold release used.. Then spray with your favourite primer. *I* personally p...
