Yup. go on smooth and dry with an "eggshell" finish. Use them outside only. The vapors are extremely strong. Even on a day with a breeze i still wound up light headed and with a ringing in my ears. An airbrush booth is not ehough for these. The paints do dry quickly though and have no trou...

Your doing nothing wrong stil. I like to fill and get the base area as smooth as possible. I leave a small amount of excess to allow for shrinkage. then i wetsand from there. I also let my fillers sit for a full day or 2 just to make sure they are cured fully

Your bondo was dry when you sanded it. the problem is that it does what bondo does best. It shrinks. You need to go get a tube of the orange spot and glazing putty to put over that and give it a finish sanding. What you experinced is quite common.

If its on your fingers a soak in hot water and some scraping with a fingernail will have it off in no time. If its on the model acetone or a debonder. Be careful though if the model is painted the debonder will ruin the paint job too.

you dont need to future it after the wash just mattcoat over the finish thats there. You really dont need to future over the decals before you wash either. If the decals are decent quality it shouldnt pose a problem to just paint, decal, wash, dullcoat.

use liquid model cement to thin green putty. Or PVC pipe cement 2 bucks for a 24 oz can of model glue. Be sure to get the OATEYS PVC stuff in the yellow can its liquid you dont want the gooey purple stuff. Either way as long as it has MEK in it your good.

Gunship grey is notorious for not matching up even when sprayed from the same bottle. Sometime clearcoats can also adjust the color. Give the model anothe coat of future and see if it helps a little.

The Alcad looks better than the plating. It has a thinner scale look and feel to it that the thick plating just doesnt have.

With tamiya you dont have to be as "wet" when you apply it. You can do multiple light coats and get a good smooth finish. It doesnt dry nearly as pebbly as testors. USE IT OUTSIDE! Its mainly a cold Laquer paint and the fumes will get you really lightheaded. A room with the window open won...

I have seen acrylics yellow quickly too. Tamiya lasts the longest but if you want a white that will stay wihite for a good while try automotive paints. I made a 1/8 scale camaro and used auto paint on it. The thing is still as brilliant today as it was 2 years ago when i first painted it. I will hav...

There are so many things on it that have been overlooked in the finishing dept. The chrome rings on the rear rims, the bolt heads in said rims, all the silve...

Compared to pics of the real car how does the detail add up? My wife got me one for christmas. Considering my scale of choice is 1/35th this i right up my alley. I plan on doing this EX kit up to match almost every possible detail to the movie vehicle. All the pics of the model i have seen arent clo...

In most liquid cements you buy MEK is the main active ingredient. A good cheap source for model glue is Oatys PVC pipe cement. You get a huge can for about 2 dollars. Im still using one i bought 4 years ago. Also the can is nice and wide so unless you try to you cant knock it over.

there are many superglue debonders available out there. Just apply it and let sit for a bit apply a little more than use an even light pressure to wiggle it until it pops. Patience is the key though.
