98% of the tower connectors are not micro plugs. If any are, they are the RC servo and battery plugs,, Futaba, Hitec, Airtronics... Servo plugs are about 14mm x 7mm x 2mm( three pin - the battery plugs are probably about 14mm x 5mm x 2mm(2 pin) The easiest way to get a male and female connection is ...

Using just a resistor will fail. Typically there will be too much amp draw, and the heat will kill the resistor, and the circuit will die. Use a simple LM317 adjustable regulator and build a little voltage regulator for the job. Also leave room for a heatsink and venting, even it gets a bit warm. ht...

You might be able to buy it locally. Auto parts stores sold conductive glue for repairing rear window defrosters. I'm not sure if they still sell it. Mike They still sell it, but the conductive part is not glue. The glue that they do include in the kit is to glue the metal plug tab to the glass. Th...

Great ideas here. I was thinking of using a dsub as well, however, it's a little big. My idea is to create a cable that can add to the diorama, looking like a fueling hose or something. I like the idea of 9 pins though, so i'm torn. Is there anything else that has that many pins that could do it wi...

Really, any plug will do what you want. But most of them will not be a good structural connection to hold the model rigidly in place. Stereo headphone jacks will be fairly rigid, but it will allow the model to spin. The micro plugs and others of that size won't spin, but they won't support the model...

60/40 solder is what is typically found at the local Radio Shack or The Source... It is a good general purpose solder, and a 25-30 watt soldering pen and a bit of flux is all that is required to work it well. I use 56 percent silver solder for heavy brass joints. Ships masts, bent exhast uptakes... ...

Yellow and red LED are 1.8v-2.2v Green and white LED are 3.2-3.4v The strings are wired up in series so that the total voltage of any set of LED in the string is 115v-120v in the US. All LED are DC voltage, but the diodes only pass current in one direction, so they are all actually blinking when con...

You would have to do some experiments, to see what
viscocity of glue will hold the height and dimension of
your buttons. CA, elmers, canopy glue all dry fairly clear.
I built mine up first then did clear castings..

At the chamber, you can spray some windex, soapy cleaner, or just soapy water, and look for bubbles. At your vacuum resivoir you might apply 10-15 psi and spray the connections and look for bubbles. At your quick release valve, Spend $8-$12 bucks for a nice ball valve at ACE. I don't think a small v...
