A question: I've thinned my Aves Apoxie Paste with alcohol to get a speadable consistancy, but it takes forever to harden to a point I can sand it. Will heat cure it? Can I put it in the oven for a bit? Hold it over my space heater? And if the oven is acceptable, is there any danger because I thinne...

Ork Hova Tank - Finished! With Pics!!!
Well, I finally got off my duff and decided to start my own. Lately, I've been into Warhammer 40k's Orks, even though I don't play! They're just so much fun to build! Anyhow, most of the other designs I've been seeing are futuristic, high-tech designs and I thought I'd pitch one that's just a bit an...

Alot of my inspiration comes from wanting something and A, it not being available or B, not being able to afford something. Awhile back, I considered mastering a kit of a Star Wars subject because there was'nt one available for purchase. I haven't sold the master, but I did build it. Other ti...

I've got an idea I'm fleshing out, the problem is scale. I would normally go 1/72, so I could always use it for gaming purposes, but the LHS has some 1/35 scale tanks that have all the right greebles and the Tamiya 1/35 scale German Grenadiers next to them make me want to do a diorama. What to do, ...

In addition to these lift technologies, there might be an additional need for something that provides forward/backward thrust. The technologies could be combined, as in a helicopter with jets or thrusters to push it forward. Could also be a system whereby the field is variable; Say 40% lift in the ...

overall yes but the point is to make those bits not as easily recognizeable. Trying to break the floating Merkava or floating Leopard stigma here. So far alot of the other designs have really come through on this. Well, I'n mot trying to sneak in an AFV hull, I just wander if I'll get nailed if the...

I've always believed that you should paint everything; bare plastic has a waxy sheen that's never realistic (thus sayeth the Book of Paine). I'm not too sure if CM's were a gloss or flat paint, so that's probably what you need to find out, as that will determine your next steps. If CM's were flat, t...
