I ordered the Federation Flasher board and display pole from TrekModeler. I've used these on several builds and they work great. I bought the nacelle spinner boards from madman lighting. The spinner boards run at 12v and the flasher board runs at 9v. I'd like to use just one power adapter (12v) so I...

I bought this LED chaser circuit: http://www.amazon.com/Velleman-Mini-LED ... roduct_top

I replaced the included 3mm red LEDs with 5mm red LEDs. It fits perfectly beneath the shuttlebay, runs on 9V and works great.

i cut 3mm tubes (or 5mm tubes depending on the size of the LED) about 3mm longer than the LED and hot glue it to the LED. Then I use the same glue gun to fix the FO to the LED/tube combo. As long as the glue gun is set to a cool setting it shouldn't melt the FO. You can get the tubes that fit the LE...

Check out the Sound Effects Unit 2 on this page: http://www.voodoofx.com/sound.htm I've used this on one build and will be using it on my Cylon Raider build. You can record up to 300 seconds of sound on it over four different sections of memory. Four buttons will let you play the four different soun...

I'm nearly done with my diorama that uses Ant's UFO boards. I can tell you that they fit like a glove AND you have your choice of 6 different light patterns. It was super easy to solder up the connections. I'm so happy with the results that I'm buying his Cylon Raider board too.

Craig, To answer your question, yes this is a viable alternative. The Easy LED product is exactly that - very easy to use. It is simple to hook up the strip to a power source and not worry about using resistors or parallel vs serial connections. I bought a strip of blue lights to use in my Reliant b...

Got the TrekModeler kit as well - highly recommend it

I also bought the TrekModeler lighting kit and am in the process of installing it. Another thing you should consider when purchasing the kit - you also get great customer service from TrekModeler. I have received same-day responses to my emails which is much appreciated when your build is stalled be...
