Re: requesting admin help for dalem /dale
Last time I posted a question about this forum on the FB group, the post got rejected because it wasn't about models.

Re: New Site Problem
HT usually works fine for me, except when it decides to go to the first forums instead of the hobby section for no reason and makes me scroll.
The main problem there is lack of activity.

Re: ATTN! the forum IS broken - NEEDS FIX
Yeah, I've lost posts lately because the screen just goes white when I hit post, and that's the end of it. Post is gone, and the board stops responding.

Re: ATTN! the forum IS broken - NEEDS FIX
I tried it and kept getting a busy signal. Then again, myne has been having issues the last few weeks. Can someone else try, in case something is wonky with my phone? I don't know. In the old days people used to put the receiver beside the phone when they didn't want to be bothered. Excuses, excuse...

For reasons beggaring understanding, it works fine now in its original format.

Re: Forum extra glitchy of late?
The main thing I notice is that the board often takes many minutes to open a forum or a thread after I click. So long that I'll sometimes move on to another activity and come back to it later.

Aaaaand I give up. Second attempt at a Luna. Bought Alclad Chrome. Bought Tamiya gloss black spray. Got nice shiny black finish. Airbrushed a couple of light coats of chrome. Looking good. Model is supported by a stick up its ass so I don't touch the finish. At some point during the spraying of the ...

What can I use that's just around-the-house to polish my first-ever Alclad finish? Facial tissues? Eyeglass lens cloth? The dog?

Fisheye attack.
Okay, I can NOT understand this one: 12" C-57D styrene kit, with lights. The plan is to give it a coat of Tamiya metallic black as a light blocker, then Tamiya Mica silver, both from spray cans, because Tamiya laquer always comes out so beautifully smooth. I wash the plastic parts thoroughly wi...

Use a high definition setting (800 to 1000 dpi). The images will become heavy, but the quality of the printed image is outstanding. File size is TINY if you use a vector program like CorelDRAW (or Illustrator for people silly enough to own Macs ;)), and you can print them out any size with perfect ...

It's usually a tad softer than kit styrene (the Evergreen stuff is, anyway). That makes it easier to cut and glue. I find it about the same as cutting out and putting together cardboard or paper shapes like we used to do in school art class. Here - the whole aft end of this kitbash was done with .02...
