You could try with corrugated cardboard. You know, then one where a wave form of card is sandwiched between two layers of cardboard.
Careful peel one side off and yu will get something that resembles tin roof.

That fiberoptics webpage hurts my eyes!

The wording on the page (sounds like we are all idiots) and the broken links don't give me the confidence to order anything from the company.

As a image of the company, it sends some very bad signals.

Any thought about if the kit mentioned in the first post will do as a chasing light for the fusion reactor for the Jupiter ? Running 4 white LEDs from each LED outtake.

What should the resistor for the LEDs be changede to?

Will it need more power than the 9V?

/Thx

3 AAA = 4.5V so you need some resistors if you want to use a 9V battery. What kind of resistors depends on the LEDs (sorry can't help you there). For the turn signals, you can get yellow LEDs with a built in blink circuit. You can even get LEDs that can light up in different colors but this is where...

Hello there A question for your learned fellow modelers. I have recently pulled down a halogen wire light system and it was powered by an 12V transformer. I'm thinking of using it to power the lights on a E-D. Would that be a bad idea? So far my plans involve 7 10cm cold cathode tubes and assorted n...

a friend of mine once made rotating emergency light (just like the "real" thing) for a scratch built sullaco (spelling) but i don't know if it's something you want to try to replicate. It involved a tiny motor from a Betamax video recorder and a grain lightbulb set inside a yellow housing....

I have a small follow up question about the fusion core for the jupiter 2.
Is it a single ligth running round the core or is it 4 / 8 "banks" of lights that chase each other. ie, is there more that one LED light up at the same time.

By random i mean in a way so that it will not look like running light or all the light fading at the same time.

But I have in the mean time found some small circuits that imitates the flickering of a candle light. Think I will try to use those.

Wanted! Random, fader circuit

Hello all you electonics wizards outthere. I have been looking at the fader circuit on these pages and thought that someone might help me. What I need is a circuit that runs off a computer power surply, can fade 1+ LEDs in a random fasion. To make it even more difficult, the diagram will have to be ...
