Surely there must be a gravel or gold industry in BC that needs screens and mesh. I purchased some really fine wire screen from Western Wire here in Portland, Oregon. It was sold off the roll, four feet wide. http://thewesterngroup.com/about-us/ Western Canada / Vancouver 1750 Brigantine Drive Coqui...

Polystyrene foam does not like CA glue. However there are "foam safe" CA glues out there. Something to consider: Heat can cause different rates of expansion in foam and the coating. If you have ever watched foamcore warp you have seen the potential. Gatorboard, and perhaps this new Ultrabo...

The easy route would be to present the design to a "sign company" and have them show you the best options for materials and color consistency. They would also be able to tell you what will weather well, and show you examples of similar designs. What is the sheet material that the ma...

Excellent before and after pics on that page.

Any SIGN store will have a vinyl cutter.
If you bring them a pattern to work from, typically one of their

Or perhaps you burned a component by over heating.

My friend, the metal worker uses a standard Ryobi chop saw to cut his stock.

If it's small stock, then that little harbor freight chop saw would work also.

Paper-mache is your best bet here. Look at those spherical paper-lampshades or similar. We used to make our own pinata using paper mache' when we were kids. Blow up a balloon, or a beach ball and cover it with paper mache and let dry. Decorate as required, fill it up, then beat it with a stick. :D
