What color primer do you use for the inside?

I've seen white, gray, black and even foil, but what color (or method) do you feel is best to keep that light from bleeding through or make it shine through those windows better? Also, if you do paint the inside, what method do you use to keep those gluing surfaces clear of paint...tape where possib...

For me it depends on the complexity. If it has a lot of curves, mixed colors and detail...and I have the appropriate decals, then decals it is. But like the X-wing with its straight lines, I would use paint.

Good deal or no. Do these things really go for over 200 bucks?

Actually I just found one (new) on Amazon for $119.95 with free shipping.

Sounds like those parts are happily married then. I'd leave them alone as you seem to be slanting towards. Good luck and how about some pics of your build? We don't get to see very many Whitestars.

Without reading through all the posts, as a new user myself, how well do other materials such as wood and plastic glue to Aves? Specially when you have such a smooth surface?

Warp's brittle GRP resin can be a nightmare. I've broken a lot of parts on one of my Nebulas and had to just about rescribe half the secondary hull. The only thing I would ask is why did you apply CA just after you got it to move even if it was slightly? Did you slide it back into place and then app...

Some great helpful info so far! What sucks is I made a "Primer Chart" in my documents file, saved one to my library to pictures file and tried like heck to send it over to my Photo Bucket account so I could post a link here for who ever wanted to look at it. It apparently won't load and I ...

Primer poll?

Just wondering if it were possible to take a primer poll without an actual vote section as it would be too limited.? If we could list the primer we use and a short why. I know a lot of answers would be limited to what material they have available in their country but it would be interesting to me. T...

Question for you guys who have or use some similar to this small table saw: http://www.harborfreight.com/bench-top-cut-off-saw-42307.html Does it just cut short straight lines or can you cut curves with this thing? It looks like the handle with the blade saw just lifts up and down (like a waffle iro...

What are u guys using to cut thick sheet styrene?

How do you guys get those complex and perfect shapes using thick sheet styrene? I mean sheets more than 1 mm thick, I was trying to cut 2 mm thick sheets using a new X-acto knife and almost took my fingers off several times and broke a blade. I went slowely so I'm not rushing. It took forever just t...

How do I remove thick curved resin sensors from RU Eagle?

I didn't get any bites on the British Invasion thread so I hope it is ok to ask this here regarding Replica's Unlimitted 23" Eagle resin kit: I have the older kit but did get ahold of the one piece module cone vs the two piece one the kit originally came out with. The sensors (4) are pre molded...

I've never tried Apoxie Sculpt but recently used red auto putty filler for large gaps on an old Macro-Trek resin Nebula. Worked pretty good and sanding was fairly simple, however I'm not sure how good it will adhere to the resin surface. Anyone else ever use auto putty and how good did it adhere to ...
