You can always buy some 0.5mm styrene and make your own tube. Depending on the size either put extra rings inside or outside.

I use Tamiya epoxy putty and Mori Mori, both have their uses. I like the 2 part nature of the Mori Mori (also Sube Sube) and easy to sand and fill gaps. More to add after seeing elastic bands pegs small clamps small metal set squares for small right angles Depending on your type of scratch building ...

No, I used to do a bit of animation but now don't really get the time to do it now. Barely get enough time to build models.
