Just received my optics. The hobby spool is very small but suitable for my purposes. They also attached a samples kit which is very cool. And they haven't spammed me yet ! Recommended. Nice to know, I was thinking about doing some of the 1/2500th models lighted and this gives me one more option. Th...

The Model Master jars can be used with the 1/2 oz top, but you still have to thin the paint, and you might have to cut the plastic tubing from the 1/2 H-lid.
I used the 1/2 jar assembly with the Model master jars a while ago so I'm not sure if I had to trim the inside tube or not.

Thanks!

Sometimes having a bad nylon washer could be the culprit. It is located in the body of the airbrush and is suppose to keep the air going forward instead of backwards....

I use a air compressor that I got at Sears for about $50. I bought a regulator/moisture trap for about $20. It has a 5 gallon tank, the only thing is that it is not silent. You can use any air compressor as long as you use a regulator & moisture trap. If you don't care about the noise you could ...

One way you may be able to do it is use the clear decal paper and mask off the decal area on the model and paint it white. This is really only good for the larger models, but if you are really good at masking and painting you may be able to do it ..... Or you can get your Alps printer like I did, a ...

The airbrush I would recommend for you is the Paasche H. This is a single action airbrush. The bottle assembly of the 1/2 oz. bottle fits the 1/2 oz testor model master bottles. You still have to thin the paint, but you can use the bottles. The H is very easy to clean at the end of the day, just rem...

This is some great stuff, but I'd like to add a little to this. As far as flushbacking goes this is how I handle it. I flushback my gravity feed brushes when I'm using any paints that can be cleaned with either water or "Airbrush Cleaner" (Which is almost exactly like Windex). I do not flu...

The air pressures you are getting (20 - 30 psi) can be used for almost all airbrushes and paints, so that is the good news. Now as far as the airbrushes go the best would be the Iwatas, I personally would recommend the HP-C (or whatever the equivalent is today). The only thing is the cost of the Iwa...

Molding Question

Hello, I would like to try and create a mold of a large part and would like to try and make a mold that has a layer of molding rubber and then a hard outside. I had thought I saw this done somewhere but I can't find it. I would like to do it this way for 2 reasons. 1 - I wouldn't use as much rubber ...
