I had a big box of random bits and pieces I had been saving up but moved recently and they went... somewhere. I'm slowly starting over.

I've been slapping together little ships out of random bits of plastic junk for a couple of years now, but I want them to look a little well... better.

Are there any good tutorials regarding the use of putty? What brands do you guys use? Special tools or techniques I should know/use?

I scratchbuilt a little ship about a year ago and built a dish using a bubble like one of these

it didn't come out perfect

but I'm sure someone with a little more experience than me could do better.
