Re: ATTN! the forum IS broken - NEEDS FIX
I do think we have any Moderators active on this site anymore- if there are they log in very rarely. Most of the time this site does not even open for me ay any level- regardless of browser. I am still needing to access the thread I started in Real Space for the hi res imagery and I cannot do that ...

Beware the things that fix themselves... :P LIke a doctor operating on themselves ... That's been done, 1961, Russian dude in Antarctica, self-appendectomy. One, I would wonder why you want to..? Don't need to explain, or course, just very curious and wondering if everything is alright.
Two, it's as simple as not logging back in again, really.
Be sad to see you go.

Re: ATTN! the forum IS broken - NEEDS FIX
The names have been changed to protect the guilty. Unless they confess in which case they were guilty already. guilty? is this a joke or are people going to be labeled now? Sounds like a joke. This is something we round here sometimes, take one sentence and throw out humorous variations. "He d...

Re: ATTN! the forum IS broken - NEEDS FIX
- Spamming inboxes with unwanted invites to his forum. - Attacking admins and the site owner. - Posts about AST forum states I was fine with him pimping for his site until that started. It is all unwanted content and not relevant discussion. And that's all he's contributed to this community over th...

Re: ATTN! the forum IS broken - NEEDS FIX
He just offered to create a forum similar to SSM over on AST if/when this goes dark at any time, so why are people going nuclear on him? If you don't want to go onto AST, then don't , it is as simple as that. No obligations to do anything. Jesus, what's worse than SSM going out with a whimper..? Thi...

Re: why i am trying to help and my cautionary tale
Meanwhile we've got the FB group to manage which is quite frankly exhausting. Which shows that the Facebook group needs to be deleted in the interest of collective health and well being. Plus, I've checked the FB page for SSM and nothing in at least 2 months if I remember correctly. Can't help but ...

Re: why i am trying to help and my cautionary tale
Mods are offering nothing because it's private. If the site owners wants ya'll to know he'll let you know. One of the biggest issues, tho', is that the architecture this forum is built on is obsolete and moving it would be neigh impossible or at least extremely tedious. Meanwhile we're open to expl...

Re: why i am trying to help and my cautionary tale
I don't think anyone here is 'goading' the owner. More than anything, we just hope John and Linda are alright as their absence/silence is worrying . We just want to know what is happening. That's not a hard thing to ask for. Error creep is sliding in and we've found 'cheats' to get around it, and ju...

Re: why i am trying to help and my cautionary tale
Just an FYI, John is not the only one with admin level access and the lack of movement here is due to people having real jobs and the general decline of forums all over. I'm sorry somebody pee'd in your Cheerios. The exit is over there. Do you have any idea what is going on? At the end to the day, ...

I like your weedios. and forgive me for being blunt here but john doesn't give a damn about this forum and he is the only one with access to fix it. For the first one, I may have to go through my phone and shut off any tracking data. Big middle finger to 'Big Brother.' For the last one, I think we should make the name Coast Guard Cutter as literal as possible. They see one of these narco subs, just run them down with a ramming bow and leave them...

I don't know what's going on here. I hope John and Linda well, though I do wish there was at least some notification of whatever is going on.
Just for myself, I appreciate your effort and am taking advantage of it, so, thank you.

Re: ATTN! the forum IS broken - NEEDS FIX
Just lacking oversight. I do hope John and Linda are well, but the mystery of the whole thing, not just them disappearing but the mods as well... I think we are coasting into oblivion here, which is why I'm trying for a little more of a presence on AST. It seems to be a real nice alternative.

Re: No forum complaints this week. Is the forum fixed?
So I still get that 500 error but other than that everything okay? Go to the other sites about the forum problems. they have a link that has fixed the 500 problem for most of us. The SQL error remains. Not fixed , but there is a 'work-around' that has alleviated the problem. I found that using http...
