Do you already have the mill?

Print on mailing labels. Then stick it to the plastic, cut it out and remove the label. Labels come in all sizes, you can even get uncut sheets, one 8 1/2 x 11 label per page if you need something big.

True, but if the purpose of the jpg is to post here just for illustration purposes, then this doesn't matter.

It will save a jpg of your current screen.

I'd make the wedge out of balsa wood. Super simple to cut and shape. Give it a few coats of super-glue to harden up the surface. Then paint to match.

If you already have the Mold Star on hand, you could do a small test. Spray some future on something and pour a small amount of rubber over it to see what happens.

If not give Smooth On a call. I have never had any problem getting a quick answer to any technical problem.

Abledog, more questions. Why are you making it hollow? For lighting or weight issues?

How large? The size of the part could also make a difference in a casting strategy.

Coating the mold with baby powder will help quite a bit. It will break up the surface tension of the resin and make it flow better. Just make sure to either knock or blow out any excess powder. What is the diameter of the dish? This site uses a tabletop electric grill as the heating element. Maybe you could rig up something similar with a couple of units. You might get more even heat that way. http://www.halloweenfear.com/vacuumformplans.html
