This. Glass ones clean up nicely for reuse and the measurements make mixing much more accurate.

Maybe just a piece of brass tube that fits snugly. I presume just buying a new cap at either of the hobby shops in cost prohibitive? Or maybe just buy a gravity cup that attaches to a siphon airbrush?

I bought this setup about 3 months ago. They are both Harder and Steenback Infinity. They absolutle ROCK! Easy to break down and with the smallest tip I can get a consistant line under 1mm wide. For an air source I use a CO2 tank. Been using it for 30 years. No noise at all, the gas is dry as a bon...

Easy stuff to work with and sands easily enough. It's a lot thinner than some of the other putties I've worked with - which is nice. Comes with an applicator that you can open to a very small diameter making it easier to apply to smaller gaps and seams. You can even apply it with a syringe. Smoothin...

I used to swear by Model Master paints - except the primer. I hated the adhesion of the primer. And most of their whites sucked too. I only use Tamiya primer out of the rattle can now, and have come to love their paints through an airbrush. Little by little, I will be replacing all my MM paints with...

Testors Metalizer thinner. You should be able to find it wherever they sell Metalizer. Unfortunately, thanks to a "dispute" with Canada customs, Testors no longer sells metalizers in Canada. Even more unfortunate was when I was in the States last summer, I forgot to get more. Thanks for t...

I use Model Master Acryls and use their gray primer. How much can I thin it before it loses its effective priming qualities i.e. keeps paint sticking to the surface?

iSteve, thanks for sharing that information on our Badger Air-Brush Co. products, but I hope you don't mind if I can clarify a few points for thread readers. Re: Badger Patriot a good choice?

I've been meaning to get a decent airbrush for a while now. Dual action, gravity feed. I'd like to get something nice, so I won't have to replace it later, hopefully in the $75-$150 range. I think I've decided on a Badger 105 over the 360 because the gravity feed paint cup is a bit small on the 360...

I feel your pain. I had the same thing happen to me last night trying to paint the aztec on the nacelles. My fault for not priming them first. Model Masters on Tamiya on Model Masters

I've finished my colours, done in Model Masters acrylics. My LHS is out of MM gloss (for decaling) but said I could use the Tamiya acrylic gloss I already have. Once the decals are on, I want to finish it with semi-gloss, which I have again in Model Masters acrylic. Has anyone mixed brands like this...

The Metalizers, acryls, and the enamels can be intermixed among the same paint line (metalizer with metalizer, acryl wth acryl, etc).
Excellent - Thanks Kylwell!

Yes, but painstaking and probably expensive for you. On-screen colours and physical colours are never an exact match and depending on how you have your screen calibrated will probably not look the same on-screen as the next guy's. The equipment needed to sample each colour is not cheap. You can eyeb...

One point you might want to detail Terry is the range of widths of spray eg: 1/8", 1/16", 1/32", 2", 4", etc. One person's fine line is not necessarily the same as the next.
