filler/putty question

i hope this is the best place for this question, it seemed right to me at least... anyways, i am working on a prop and the green putty i have is not so great filling in the myriad tiny little air pockets and bubbles. i was wondering if there was something that went on a little smoother and spread mo...

paint problems on resin models

hello all, i was wondering if anyone has experienced this before. i am building a resin model and the paint keeps peeling off whenever i pull off a masked section. i know resin models require special primer base coats for paint to adhere properly, so i assume this is because the base primer coat eit...

best way to remove decals?

hello all,

i have a few models in the closet that i finished some years ago when i was younger, and i would like to redo them. What is the best way to remove decals that have sprayed over with a flat coat?

thanks

ok i tried out some of the PNT decals and they seem to be working much better. i gave up on the JT Graphics set when one of them tore and fell apart as soon as i took it out of the water. has anyone else had this problem? the thing literally disintegrated as i tried to get into position to slide off...

ok, i bought a set of JT Graphics Galaxy class decals for my Ent-D kit and i am having a hell of a time putting these things on. No matter what i do they rip and tear, it doesn't matter how gentle or careful i am. i am a little pissed off at the moment, just tore my fifth decal, is there something i...

what makes Future the preferred method of setting solution versus the testor's stuff you can get in a hobby store? i'm inclined to use the testor's stuff since it sounds easier to use, but the last time i used it (some seven years ago on a model of the Defiant) the decals came out looking brown and ...

interesting, what function does the glue serve in the water?

and where does one get Future Floor Wax, your local WalMart or Home Depot?
i don't suppose testor's gloss clear coat works as well?

hello all, this being the "everything decals" thread i thought i would ask if anyone had a nice tutorial for applying decals the right way. on all of my past efforts the decals stick out like a sore thumb in any kind of light and it bugs the hell out of me. i've picked up a few things here...
