I'm wondering if I need any tools for working with PE brass... so far I have (gently) used tweezers. Some metal, some plastic. Is there anything that I should buy to aid in my bending the parts?

I use sculpey some and I am planning on making some little 1/350th figures from it in the next few days (working on a Titanic model at that scale for my wife) I have even used it to fill (some) gaps on models.. though I dont do it often.

:roll: probably few will care... but Krylon makes a pearlescent paint in spray cans... They have an iridescent paint too... I have been using these two (I'm poor... cant afford a decent airbrush :P) and have had good results.
I use a flat or satin white (also Krylon) as my base-coat
