The method I use is to add very fine wire mesh from plastic screening. The build a border around it with styrene strips. Sort of what you would see on the tie fighter models.

Hey Just a note, You can cut these sheets on a cnc or standard mill with double sided tape pretty easily. Just use very high speed and a small sometimes 20 degree single lip cutter . I also coat the top of each pc with 409 just to keep the heat down. Dont cut through though. stay above by about 3 or...

Hey I just came back from a local molder (Plastic injection) and got a whole bunch nozzles and greeblies and stuff. So if any of you guys want cool stuff see if you can get to a plastic molder. half the test shots they regrind or trash and you can get a small garbage can full for free. Just a sugges...

scratch this!

I found a "see and say" and split it in two. I also added two engines, Styreen window candles. and the base is from an old skittle bowl.
the top is an old portable wall light fixture. Just needs some more greebles.
