Has anyone used Tamiya's Fine Surface Primer (bottle) and does it compare to Mr. Surfacer ???

I picked up some of this Tamiya stuff at my LHS and have been using it to fill seams and was wondering if anyone has used both and could give me a comparison.

Soft99 polish/compound ???

Came across this Hase VF-0S buildup on youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fU4W0ncGWxw The guy uses an enamel wash for panel lines then uses a product called Soft99 (9800/red) to magically erase the wash that got outside of the panel lines. That is a perfect explanation, thanks Zombe.

What brand of pastel chalk do you use and is there an online source for it? I went to a couple art supply stores and all they carry are the oil-based pastels and I'm pretty sure these won't work for this technique.

Consistency ???

What kind of consisitency should this wash be? Should it be like 'dirty-water' or should it be thicker like paint?
