ROSS Plastic Model Cement

Hi all, I have a distributor that I buy shipping supplies from, and they have ROSS Plastic Model Cement in tubes, much like Testors brand. I picked one up, but havn't used it yet. Anyone know anything about the quality of this product? I can't find anything online about it, and it looks like their c...

I think this guy is proxiemodels.com, who makes some really cool, if not simplistic. while working for hoardobits.com, we contracted with hime to make some sprues of wargame parts. decent suff, but the plastic is more like pvc tham abs or poly styrene

Toy paint is literally a trade secret in China, which is why toys made in the USA don't have paint or do have paint but it doesn't hold up. Having tried to have toys made by the plant that does Hasbro/Mattel stuff (mid '00s mostly), they will not divulge their paint process. So as to say what it's m...

Blue Hawk is the Lowe's Store brand of low price economy tools. They have Kobalt as their other brand of tools. I would pick it up, as I love lowe's store brand stuff. Good quality (albeit chinese-made most of the time) stuff. I wouldn't hesitate to buy it if it were something I needed to replace cu...

I have started using the new liquid Greenstuff from Games Workshop. IT's fantastic as a gap filler. I would like to know if there is the non-GW brand of this stuff, because it is fantastic, but not cheap.

I've been using Alumilite for years. The set time is a few minutes. What is the general set time of the "good" resins? My employer is having me look into decent quality stuff for manufacturing parts (garage kit kind of stuff) and we're trying to figure out what's going to be good for produ...

Greenstuff vs Blue/Gray stuff

hi all, I have some Kneadatite Blue/White epoxy ribbon. Does anyone know the difference between it and the Blue/Yellow "Greenstuff" epoxy? I'm having far better luck with teh blue/white, however, the outer layer of the blue is hardened, so I'm having a heck of a time mixing it well. JohN M>

is battery corrosion reversible?

Hi all,

I had left the batteries inside an r/c item when I put it in storage a while back and of course, pulled it out and there was corrosion all over the springs. Obviously, I know the batteries are junk, but can the item itself be cleaned up any? and if so, with what?

Thanks,

Aerial antennas (ea?) on tanks

Hi all, I'm looking at doing the antennas on each of my 40K Imperial Tanks, and trying to figure out the best materials. I've used very thin brass rod on some, but they don't look right, nor do the plastic ones that come with them. I've seen some use guitar wire, but is there a happy medium that can...

Working with Wood

Hi all, I broke a toy of my son's, and it is a wooden firetruck. I don't work with wood much, so I have a question on this. It was held together only with glue. When putting it back together, should I use wood glue, will elmer's white work, or can super glue do? Should I sand down the glue that is t...

Thanks for the info. I suppose iKore could have just been using someone that had the same style of bottle. The french paint that has been Citadel Colour for the longest time is horrible and the pots are acrylic with microscopic holes that cause them to dry out too fast. I'll take a look at the found...

Paint Manufacturers question

HI all, I have a paint brand that i LOVE! I have bottles of this paint that are over 10 years old and are still as good as day 1. I do not know the MANUFACTURER Of them though, because they were sold through Games Workshop as Citadel Colour in the early/mid 90's. When GW switched to Citadel Paints (...
