No problem. No rush. My wife and I have had our fair share of dealing/coping/surviving our parents becoming old and sick (still dealing, in fact, as we've been caregivers for her mom since her stroke. Going on 10 years now). It's a hard path to walk. But it has to be done, and done with love. I know...

No Bacqatcha from Lonewolf yet, so I guess he still has it. Sounds like he's going through a serious rough patch right now. No worries on my end.

I figured it was just "life getting in the way". Sounds like you've got more than your fair share! No worries. Get to it when you can. It's not nearly important as family and health issues. Take care of yourself.

Yup. I've been adding some bits to the back end of the ship. Been a bit slow as shoveling snow and chipping at ice dams seems to be most of what I've been doing since last week!

I'll post some pix and get it off next week. You can PM me your address in the mean time.

Looking good and there's a ton of spare bits in the box. Thanks! I'll see what I can do with it over the next week or so.

No point getting overwhelmed with the choices. But you have to jump in with both feet, keep an open mind and be prepared to shift gears if you have to. I think there's a fair amount of trial and error involved, mixed with a significant amount of subjective bias. You can look are reviews, articles an...

The VoodooFX lighting kits are really well put-together and very simple to install. Also, you can call up the owner if you run into any problems. Customer service is top notch.

Laser cutting

Hey guys, this place opened up near my house last year. I keep going by it wondering what goes on inside, finally I checked it out and it's a laser cutting shop that teaches you how to use their machinery! I'm thinking about trying it out. Lord knows what cool model making potential is in a place li...

You can thin it with water. I put a little detergent in there (VERY little, like a couple drops to a gallon of distilled water) to cut the surface tension. I'll shoot water and then lacquer thinner between color changes to clean everything out.

Tamiya is particularly sensitive, I find. The stuff would lift off whereas if I used Vallejo or Model Master, it'll be fine. Definitely I think it's the alcohol solvent in the ink. I've used FW inks over acrylics with no problem. But then again, I like to seal with Dullcoat between steps.

Yeah. It sounds like the CA went bad. You never know how long that stuff has been on the shelf or in the warehouse before you even bought it. I used to buy the bigger bottles but now only get the small bottles of CA glue.
