Personally I would go with sandpaper to about 1500 than start using different grades of polishing compounds.

Slow route as it will take some time but results are worth it, IMO.

REcalling the old Battlet4ch game, I think many of the tqanks solely used Energy weapons or guass weapons(none of which have recoil).

Yeah, I often use white primer and skip the white paint afterwards.

Glossiness, etc comes from the top-coat anyway.

I apply it soon after I pit the decal on and dabbed off the excess water.
Never had a prob and experienced very little curling.

OLFA also makes a great circle cutter and can the extended to make some big circles.

If you want a clear box look at the stuff used to glue aquariums together.
Forum　Silicone that dries clear.

For acrylic sheeting there is a similar glue available here.

IMO, even with frosting etc, you will still have a hot-spot from the LED.

Sorry, can't recommend a brand as what I use will not be available where you are.

Agree, no need to tear it apart after each usage.
Joseph does the same steps I usually do.

If you use it often take it apart maybe once a week and do proper cleaning and needle lube job.
Lots of damaged needles, etc occur during the dis-assembly and assembly process.

Depends, I had a similar compressor and mine tended to get very hot after running non-stop for 15 minutes.

The Mr. Leveling thinner has the retarder already added in.

You can use standard Mr Thinner and add the Mr. Retarder Mild to get the same results.

I use a dry-booth.

Once parts are painted they get put into the booth for drying.
It is sealed and cuts down on the curing time of paint, etc.

Siphon feed require a higher air-pressure to paint as the paint needs to be sucked out of the Bottle.

Both got their pros and cons. Siphon feed are good for applications where you need larger volumes of paints like big models.

You sure you haven't got a RGB vs CYM problem there.

Those are 2 standards for color recognition on PC's/Printers, if your image is one format and the printer produces the other you might get that results.

But keep in mind that most of the wear and tear most likely will be lower down due to the size of the robot(18metres+).

IMO, the upper portions will show battle damage but less wear and tear.
