Ok I've got a different fiber question for everyone. So if I wanted to run fiber in a model, I would do it before painting I assume? Leaving the ends sticking out about an inch, then paint the thing, then clip off the extra fiber with toenail clippers or something? Oh, just thought of another questi...

Thanks for all the suggestions guys, I have some of that tape but never used it (the installer left a roll when I get my new air conditioning system in my house) (ok ok he set the roll down, I recognized what it was and then it mysteriously hid itself). :) I think I'll try the black felt trick. I ca...

Yeah I have some of that and if I could stick it over the seam on the inside after I closed the two halves that would be perfect, but there's no access to do that once the two halves are together. :(

How to prevent light leak along a seam?

Ok I did a search on this but didn't come up with anything. I'm lighting a kit, the hull is in two halves, how do I put the two halves together and eliminate the light leak along the seam? (oh, it's a resin kit and doesn't have any kind of lip or channel that securely holds the two halves together.)...

Oh, always amazing how people or companies take a name and then the word comes up somewhere else in a totally unrelated matter and they sue like they own parts of the english language.

Like Spike Lee sueing Spike TV like he owns the word Spike.

Does Ian have an account hear?

I forgot about the painting on the inside actually, I've heard about that as well. What I was referring to was the finished painting on the outside of the hull, would you do that last then? If so what's the best way to mask the LED's and windows?

Ok so if you were going to build the NX or the Refit would you light the entire thing first and then paint it afterwards or is it a mix of lights, assembly and painting throughout?

This is a great intro, however for someone that has zero knowledge of electrical circuitry there's still a lot of jargon in the how to section that only someone familiar circuits would know. Example: Bread board Parts conductor Resistor Some basic definitions would be really helpful along with some ...
