I suppose you could use future, just never tried it with a clay sculpture, only on plastic models. We used the stuff by Krylon that just comes in the spray can. Ter-or there is a way around that...with my old friend Krylon Crystal Clear...You can make an rtv mold straight off of roma plastalina or a similar clay.

Outstanding sculpture! You could do a latex mold/plaster mother mold, then cast it in plaster. Basically just paint on 3 layers of straight latex rubber. Well I am currently building a prop star wars type blaster I thought up from a piece of pvc pipe. Not quite the same as a stormtrooper blaster, but similar.
