Are you really planning t install 500 leds in one model? At 20 mils each thats 10 amps. 20 guage would be needed to handle the load. That also means you need to vent the heat created by 50 watts of power. Check your power supply also, a wall wart isn't going to handle that kind of load. If you are ...

just wondering what wire to use

I got 500 5v 2.4mm LED's in yesterday along with 500 resistors to use them with a 12V power supply and I am just wondering what gague of wire to use that can safely handle the 12V electrical current without causing the wire to melt.

found another source of plastic for windows

well I was in a local office supply store on Wednesday and found some plastic transparency film sheets. oh and make sure the primer your using isn't going to turn your model into a puddle of goo. not all primers are plastic friendly.

so what about Red Green and Amber LED's plus I also have Grain of wheat bulbs. Plus I also have the same kit that BeoWulf has plus wouldn't trenches also have to carve trenches into th interior of each pylon half and drill holes to pass wiring into the nacels?

I don't know if freezing will work for CA glues but try soaking the parts in hot water like Bath water and it should come apart seeing as CA glues do not like heat.
