What are your favorite greebles ???

:?: What is everyone's favorite / preferred source of greebles ? I am curious to what others use for detail parts, main components etc. Although I am no expert in building like some of you guys, I find dollar stores a good start for the grebellion creations usually the toys or party supply section. ...

Re: Who's ready for a new Challenge Build?

 Well I managed to slap something together although it is not my best work. I will be painting it better in a few weeks when I get back from work. I need to add a few more greebles to make it more scifi-ish. I am limited to my resources right now. This is the first scratch in years be gentle....

Re: New Contest ?

:o There have been starwars ,star trek, babylon 5, anime and several other themed contests over the years with varying degrees of creativity, craftsmanship, and color. The idea of dedicating it to a real life cause is intriguing. Cancer awareness with pink as the main color or highlight is awesome. ...

Re: Who's ready for a new Challenge Build?

:) I will do my best to complete this task. I have not touched any building materials in years , because something horrible happened. That damn life thing got in the way and threw a monkey wrench, a thingamajig and a whole lot of spindle benders into my plans to dominate the (modelling) world. I hav...

Thank you for the resource links. The engines are great. The weapons/guns I was looking for is the star blazers style I wanted to know if there was a package of heavy and medium guns like that on the Yamamoto. Thanks fellow modellers.

Ok - I've been feeling like a slug for not getting busy on my "own" challenge. Since I have this week off from work - plant shut-down - I really have no more excuses. :) Besides, despite all the evidence to the contrary, I really do want to do this. Also, this is my first try at using Imgur instead...

A word on Merriman's views on scratchbuilding... Dave is a very capable scratchbuilder. Dave is a very skillful scratchbuilder. However. Dave is an enormously opinionated and narrowminded scratchbuilder as well. I've learned an enormous amount about the "art" of scratchbuilding, from David Merriman...
