Re: Who's ready for a new Challenge Build?

Well, I'm on the same shore, if not quite the same boat, as a lot of folks - progress has been made, but I'm balked at what to do with the underside. Didn't finish by the deadline, but I should have it painted in another couple of weeks.

Well, I won't be attending this year ( though next year is possible ) but if I can ask a favor - when you're sitting down to dinner after you get there, raise a glass for Entil' Zog, Ramjet, Bluesman, and all our absent friends. Good luck and have fun, colleagues.

Off the top of my head, I know that the brass and aluminum tubing and strut assortment you see in a lot of Hobby Shops have some rectangular brass tube. Wouldn't bee too difficult to make up a simple punch if you can find one in the right size. Failing that, cutting strips and chopping lengths off c...

Sink me. The links above are the first time I've ever really looked at Cowboy's Star Semi...and the three pods just lept out at me. Those are are the tops of the old, old Lindberg ( Ex-Strombecker? ) Lunar lander, aren't they? I only know this because I put a couple of them together just like that a...

Local Hobby Shop carries Evergreen Styrene, but their stocking is a bit sporadic. Both Evergreen and Plastitruct have websites, and I know the latter sells on-line, but I've heard their webstore is a right pain. I have started using sign plastic, and haven't come across anything that wouldn't respon...

Open that visor, amigo - its the lack of oxygen that's inducing hysteria - the build is already nicely underway. I'll be keeping a weather eye on this

Compressor Question

I've got a badger model 180-11 compressor with automatic shut-off, and after one session this morning, its goone a bit strange on me. The auto-shutoff function, which caused it to run intermittantly ( but effecitvely ) while spraying has ceased operating, and while there is some pressure throught th...
