i always get excellent results with the castrol, but these are resin and i am not sure, geeze i would hate to find goo :shock: if i do take the chance i wonder how long to soak ?

NEED URGENT RESIN HELP PLEASE.

I need to strip and repaint my skyhook Pl jupiter 2 replacement seats, will they be safe in castrol super clean ? that is what i use to strip my other plastic pieces?

yes it does, i had a feeling that it would be a waste of time trying it, but you never know but thanks for the info. i will have to be more careful around clear parts next time :D

i will only be able to sand the outside the inside is not accessable :? so the fogging may still show through, i should have been more careful i guess :shock:

can future clear a fogged clear part ?

when i built my lunar models 2 foot jupiter 2 i had to use superglue to cement the resin fusion core to the bottom, the clear insert that goes in there got superglue on the edges and the clear panes fogged up in spots all the way around :? so what do i do to hide it ? i tried using dullcoat thinking...

If you apply future before gluing, you will have a much lower chance to fog the parts. But CA should be very carefully used around clear bits. 2-part epoxy is much safer. It dries clear. white glue is best, as it can easily be removed. but , will future unfog a clear plastic piece that was dullcoat...

that future sure is a modelers best friend ! i wish i knew it cleard fogging when i accidently got superglue on the clear plastic fusion core insert for my lunar models 2 foot jupiter 2 when i was installing it and most of the window panes in it got fog spots, and i thought i could cover it up by us...

thanks for the very helpful info. the seats are resin, and the plastic rods were right next to the evergreen clear plastic sheet and are white. i am using the testors 3 sided black container of glue :)

will strait future sprayed from a bottle cause spotting ?

I don't have an air brush but i want to protect my jupiter 2 from fingerprints, and want to use future. i know it can be brushed on (i have never used it before) or will putting the future in a clean spray bottle and misting it on work? can i use it full strength that way ?

to apply it to the entire ship (metallic silver) just brush it on with a "sponge type "brush undilluted ? do i make just 1 light pass or several ?i want it to go on smooth with no runs. can future be put in a clean spray bottle and misted on, or will that cause spotting ? :D

no decals, it is the polar lights jupiter 2 upper deck floor it calls for the light tan to be painted then a circular mask in the center, then spray over the deck a second time with the dark brown so that the floor is dark brown with a light tan inner circle :D
