Let's say I want to break up a Christmas tree light set to use the LED's. How do I calculate the specs so that I know which resistor to use?

I'm not too worried about fill work, I just want a good primer with low VOD that doesn't cost an arm and a leg.

What is an acrylic enamel? This may sound dumb, but I thought it was one or the other.

I have seen acrylic enamels at Home Depot, but never a 'pure' acrylic primer. Am I barking up the wrong tree? I want to stop using the Tamiya enamel primer and use something with lower VOD.

What are you guys using for primers?
