New airbrush compressor- thoughts?

Hi there- I've never been much of an airbrusher, instead generally relying on handbrushing and rattlecans. I'd like to change that. I'm now looking to buy a small, portable compressor @ Michael's as I have a 40% off coupon, and two compressors are in competition, namely the Badger AS180-12 or the Iw...

Thanks; I read that online too and had bought 2 bottles of XF-66; it is SIGNIFICANTLY darker than AS-16.

Thanks though! Guess I will keep trying!

Thanks for your thought, Joseph. I meant to say INK jet in my first post, not laser though... And if I don't seal it the ink just runs of course.

Curling INKjet printed decals

Working on an Ent-b with Arthur Pendragons' decals printed on an inkjet on Experts-Choice clear paper sealed with two coats of Testor's decal bonder. The decals really curl and are impossible to manipulate once they're off the backing; any thoughts on how to prevent this curl? I tired Solvaset on a ...

Interplanetary UFO finishing and decaling

Hi All- So I just got my reissue today @ the LHS, and my question is: if I want to build it as Glow in the Dark, are there any considerations re glue and decal solutions to keep in mind with this kit, as the surfaces will NOT be painted? I had one of these 30 plus years ago, and all I can remember i...

Anyone ever tried this for lubricating moving parts of styrene? Did it do any damage to the plastic?

Sorry, I haven't had a chance to read through all this thread, so it may have already been answered. I'm decaling the FM Jedi Starfighter's hyperspace ring. It was painted w/ Tamiya flat white then glosscoated w/ Testors Glosscote. I've applied the decals then applied Solvaset; some decals are fine ...

I've read through this sticky- perhaps it's already rolled off- any advice on yellow decals? Just got a kit from the mid '80s on eBay and found the decal sheet to be quite yellowed- thoughts?

White Paint- Stop from yellowing?

Can anyone suggest how I can stop white spraypaint from yellowing? I've done a few kits w/ white spraypaint over the years, and they always seem to end up yellowing to some extent. Besides the obvious 'keep it out of direct sunlight' can anyone offer any other suggestions how to delay/ stop the yell...
