I confirm that WAVE Black CA worked perfectly last night (no tacky spot anymore!) :D So forget about everything else and go get a bottle of that glue!!! I have been using it for a while now as a glue and filler (it sands pretty well contrary to other CA glue). Fantastic product! SSM store has it (or...

Is it a part that someone can make a good copy for you, or is it a "main hull" kind of thing? PM me if you need some help... Thanks for the offer! It's actually a part I have mastered and cast myself. I am trying to save a sub-assembly with quite a few parts in it ...in which one as a sub...

I guess I will try a few things and see for myself. The real reason why I need very thin CA glue is because I want to appl...

How to thin CA glue?

My 'thin' CA glue is getting thicker after a few weeks. Is there a way to thin it back? Acetone, water, alcohol, nail remover?

How long did you let the resin post cure before you painted the castings? Most Urethane resins require a minimum of 5 to 7 days to fully cure. You may need to strip the paint from the castings and boil the castings to fully cure the 321. Boil the casting? Interesting :-k How much time? Smoot-on sug...

Its an AB epoxy putty. I think it is tamiya, but I can't translate. It is very, very popular with Japanese modelers. I assume that is due to ready availability? The first three images come from his WIP galleries. The last two are from the Plamo Tsukurou video of the custom figure GK. http://www.cog...

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=110283939303 Seems like a nice kit for occasional moulding. The only thing is that I can't find what's the maximum vacuum (25"?) If I recall 28" is a minimum to start deairing silicon, right? You guys have ...

if i may add one extra tip - rather than just your thumb/finger, use a small blob of blu-tack as 'safety' to help hold the template in place. i can't think of how many times i've reached the end of the scribe only to have the template shift a fraction. re-seating it just isn't the same. grrr :D Tha...

Micro-Mark Pro-Etch Photo Etch System (EXPORT VERSION)

Guys, two questions: (1) I'm considering getting this photo-etching kit from Micro-Mark, is it worth the investment? (2) I'm from Quebec (Montreal) and I was wondering where to get the two chemicals not included in the export version; Ferric Chloride and Sodium Hydroxide. Any suggestions? Thanks for...

Do you remove the excess right after applicaton are do you wait a while?

Guys, how much time do you let it cure before sanding? ...assuming curing time is the same for both the 500 and 1000 Surfacers.

And what grid of paper do you use for the first strokes at the 500?

Thanks!
