I just ordered some weld one #3 to make some repairs to some clear acrylic plexiglass. I was wondering how visible, and how much acrylic weld on melts, and if it will distort thin acrylic pieces?

I second the badger 155. I own one and I love it, it has to be one of the best airbrushes on the market. The fact that you can change spray patterns without having to change the tip/needle is brilliant, and its easy to take apart and clean.

What kind of paint is it - specifically? Krylon permenate clear coat I'm afraid. I have a badger 150 anthem, and its an excellent airbrush for just about anything you throw at it. Its a good airbrush for a beginner, its easy to clean, and the 150 has an adjustable spray nozzel, which has handled ever situation I've given it.

How about spraying lacquer over an enamel basecoat (that has had several days to set up?)

yup, usually run it between 20-40 psi.

when I run straight paint thinner through it it sprays fine, but add any amount of paint and its no good.
