This is my father's scratch built Robert the Robot from Gerry Anderson's classic TV series Fireball XL5. Commanded by Colonel Steve Zodiac of the World Space Patrol, Fireball XL5 was the spaceship that everyone wanted to fly in during the 1960's. A hit childrens television show both in the UK and the USA, created by Gerry Anderson (he of Captain Scarlet and Thunderbirds fame), the series featured amazing models and puppets such as the unforgettable transparent robot co-pilot named Robert. Robert the Robot has been recreated here in 1/6th scale by my father, George Bagley. Build and paint details can be found at my web site.
